The Azari Ensemble is a Persian Ensemble which embraces the music of Azerbaijan, India, and the west.
The Ensemble is lead by Mohammad Omranifar (Azerbaijani tar), and filled out by Mastaneh Nazarian (guitar), Jonathan Dimond (tabla) and Eric Barber (saxophone).
The Azari Ensemble’s repertoire features arrangements of traditional Azerbaijani dances - called reng. These pieces are contrasted with lamenting love songs, and original compositions by the ensemble members.
The Azari Ensemble is now available for performances.
The ensemble would especially suit:

• university activities by Iranian student organizations
• world music events
• ethnic radio programs
• Persian concerts
• Indian concerts
• recordings for projects associated with Azerbaijan.
